Umar is an Electrical Design Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in the consultancy environment and leads the Electrical team within the London office.
As an Associate, he has a great understanding of practicality and buildability which makes him a valuable member of any design team.
Umar has shown his skills as a great communicator who is able to understand client’s needs and work proactively to get results. He is popular with clients and has a helpful “can do attitude”.
He has worked on a variety of projects, including Retail, Education, Healthcare, Industrial and Public Sector Buildings. Umar strives to ensure deadlines are met while at the same time ensuring the quality and standard of work is adhered to.
He regularly attends meetings in order to identify the client’s needs to design fully compliant buildings. He is a driven individual who is passionate about his projects and his team.
Henry de Lloyd
Henry has been with CBG for over 12 years and has worked his way up to a Mechanical Principal Engineer, managing his own team.
Henry is highly motivated and strives to deliver engineering excellence within his designs, knowing attention to detail is critical to a successful project. He takes the time to understand the clients’ needs and Architect’s vision to integrate the services into the building. This ability gives him a good reputation amongst clients and other designers.
Henry has very good project experience in new build and refurbishments from a diverse project range including Education, Heritage, Accommodation, Transport and Healthcare. A specialist in listed buildings and heritage assets Henry has worked with many Oxford colleges and historic building trusts such as the National Trust.
Eddie is a highly motivated Principal Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in Project Management, Estimating and Design.
He has worked on a varied range of projects, covering Education, Research, Commercial, Industrial and Healthcare buildings, as well as many prestigious listed buildings. With a background in contracting, Eddie brings a significant practical application to design and has embraced the use of BIM on all his projects.
Eddie has strong client facing skills together with a proven track record of understanding clients’ needs. In the 10 years Eddie has been working at CBG Consultants, he has become a valuable member of the team who communicates well throughout the project team to ensure excellent results.
Since joining CBG Consultants over 10 years ago Adam has gained extensive experience in all aspects of electrical building services from a wide range of sectors.
In his role as a Principal Electrical Engineer, Adam heads up one of the electrical teams delivering a range of electrical services such as lighting, power and data, fire alarm and security designs. Adam also has gained valuable specialist sector experience and knowledge for Data centres, Rail and Defence projects.
His approach to projects is logical and well thought out and he is committed to satisfying targets.
Adam is very enthusiastic and keen to learn. He thrives on challenges and is always willing to explore and gain more experience. A keen interest in listed buildings and heritage assets Adam has worked with many clients and architects across education and private residential country houses.
Sam is a Chartered Engineer with 12 years of experience in the Design and Management of a wide range of developments including Commercial Buildings, Public Buildings, Residential, Universities, Industrial, Recreational, Sports Complexes, Heritage, Retail, Offices, Hotels and High Rise.
Sam has comprehensive experience of Mechanical Buildings Services Design, with a breadth of experience, having covering projects throughout London, the South East, Thailand and Myanmar.
The projects have ranged from niche high specification residential buildings, through economic and functional housing trusts to large high rise schemes.
Sam is well placed to bring a wealth of existing experience and knowledge into a project and allows alternative thinking that may be able to bring a unique solution to complex problems. His expertise in planning, design, supervision and handover with a thorough understanding of the complete project lifecycle helps facilitate the running of any project.
Ashley brings over 40 years’ of experience working in electronics, telecommunications and electrical industries to his role as Senior Electrical Engineer.
His career started as an electronic circuit designer, including custom integrated circuit design. After a period of technical project management and technical sales Ashley moved into account director roles for major international corporate clients.
More recently Ashley has been running his own successful electrical contracting business, adopting a hands-on approach to deliver practical solutions for a range of domestic and light commercial clients. Working with a major private medical NHS service provider, Ashley helped pioneer mobile hybrid power solutions combining high availability with low operating costs and energy efficiency.
Now part of CBG’s Electrical Team, Ashley interfaces directly with client teams, developing designs and performance specifications across a range of projects for public and private sector clients. His broad experience benefits the CBG in-house engineering teams as he contributes to solving challenging briefs from our clients.
Ashley has a Masters Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, is a Member of the IET, and continues to add to his technical knowledge through continuous personal development (CPD) and exploring new industry sectors.
Chris Travis joined CBG in 2019 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. He has over 10 years of experience in the mechanical engineering sector and has delivered numerous multi disciplinary projects in the energy and industrial sectors in both office and remote site locations.
Recently, Chris has focused his career on low carbon and sustainable energy solutions and is using his knowledge and experiences to help deliver these in the building services sector. He has working knowledge of hydronic and ventilation systems and the design, installation and commissioning of energy centre combined heat and power systems. Chris brings with him a strong background of delivering complex programmes of work in highly regulated industries with multiple stakeholders.
Peter Mathias has been at CBG for over 10 years initially starting out in the electrical department before moving across to the mechanical team; working his way up to senior level.
Since joining the Mechanical team he has obtained an MSc in Building Services and has gained valuable experience across many industry sectors through his project work including Commercial, Education, Heritage and Residential. Peter’s knowledge across all sectors ensures he is a highly-valued member of the team and his commitment to the projects assigned to him is outstanding.
Through his work on and extensive knowledge of heritage buildings, Peter is able to apply his skill sets to develop mechanical schemes that work both efficiently and sympathetically with the historic building structure. This has shown very positive results in achieving repeat business in both the Heritage and Residential sectors.
Ross has over 10 years’ experience at CBG Consultants and has achieved a senior position in the Thermal Modelling team having completed several energy assessment qualifications.
He takes an organised approach to thermal modelling work which involves the management of a huge number of inputs. This makes him well suited to complex projects which require a fine level of detail.
Ross has worked on several renowned historic buildings which, has given him an appreciation of structural detailing.
After several years of overheating and carbon emissions modelling, he is able to provide clients with valuable feedback before a model has even started. The result is in an efficient route to an optimised design.
