Ian is a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the consultancy environment and leads the Mechanical team within the London office.
He has worked on a variety of projects from commercial Cat A/Cat B offices, hotels, banking, retail, and restaurants throughout the UK including numerous off-shore banking projects in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man, along with many projects in Ireland.
As an Associate Director, he has a great understanding of practicality, co-ordination and buildability which makes him a valuable member of any design team. He has also a good working knowledge of electrical engineering, public health and vertical transportation.
Ian is a determined individual who is passionate and diligent about his projects. He has a very approachable, positive philosophy along with a helpful, hands on “can do attitude”.
Rob Butt
Rob provides over 8 years of extensive electrical knowledge and dedication to the building services industry in his role as a Associate Engineer.
His career has always been heavily involved in the building services industry, picking up practical site knowledge and driving projects forward to meet client requirements.
Rob is part of CBG’s electrical team, he deals directly with clients and design teams to achieve and deliver practical, energy efficient and engaging designs. He has worked on an extensive range of projects including Commercial, Education, Heritage and Residential. Rob’s knowledge across all sectors ensures he is a highly-valued member of the team whilst providing the highest levels of commitment. His broad experience benefits the CBG in-house engineering teams as he contributes to solving and delivering challenging briefs from our clients.
Adam Grant
Since joining CBG Consultants over 18 years ago Adam has gained extensive experience in all aspects of electrical building services from a wide range of sectors.
In his role as Associate, Adam heads up one of the electrical teams delivering a range of electrical services such as lighting, power and data, fire alarm and security designs. Adam also has gained valuable specialist sector experience and knowledge for Retail, Rail and Defence projects.
His approach to projects is logical and well thought out and he is committed to satisfying targets.
Adam is very enthusiastic and keen to learn. He thrives on challenges and is always willing to explore and gain more experience. A keen interest in listed buildings and heritage assets Adam has worked with many clients and architects across education and private residential country houses.
Stephanie Harris
Stephanie has 15 years of experience working for independent lighting consultants and joins CBG as an Associate Lighting Designer to help lead the Lighting team in Oxford.
She possesses a strong blend of technical and creative knowledge, allowing her to approach projects from multiple angles. Alongside this, her management skills are robust and is known for being easily approachable and fostering effective communication and collaboration within teams. Additionally, her organisational and numerical skills have proven invaluable in successfully managing projects and budgets.
Stephanie has experience working in a broad range of sectors and varying scales of projects which has allowed her to have great exposure and development within the lighting industry.
She also continued her education during her career by completing the LIA Lighting Certificate course in lighting fundamentals. Stephanie was also named as one of lightings’ ‘ones to watch’ by [D]arc magazine in 2019, she regularly contributes to publications on lighting.
Henry de Lloyd
Henry has been with CBG for over 19 years and has worked his way up to a Associate Mechanical Engineer, managing his own team.
Henry is highly motivated and strives to deliver engineering excellence within his designs, knowing attention to detail is critical to a successful project. He takes the time to understand the clients’ needs and Architect’s vision to integrate the services into the building. This ability gives him a good reputation amongst clients and other designers.
Henry has very good project experience in new build and refurbishments from a diverse project range including Education, Heritage, Accommodation, Transport and Healthcare. A specialist in listed buildings and heritage assets Henry has worked with many Oxford colleges and historic building trusts such as the National Trust.
Yasser Sweidan
Yasser is an experienced building services engineer in a variety of sectors including commercial, hotels, high end residential, retail, transportation, and mixed-use buildings.
As an associate at CBG, Yasser is responsible for the management and design of electrical services for various projects from inception to completion, helping to ensure delivery of the scheme to meet with the clients brief and expectations.
Yasser has an excellent experience in the delivery of projects on the basis of either full duties design, performance duties design or design and novation to a contractor.Yasser has hands on approach to ensure that the necessary resource and expertise is always provided and remains fully informed on the project so that is able to actively contribute at key stages or as required.
Chris Travis
Chris Travis is a Chartered mechanical engineer with over 11 years of experience in the engineering sector and has delivered numerous multi-disciplinary projects in the energy and industrial sectors in both office and remote site locations.
Chris now focuses his career on low carbon and sustainable energy solutions and uses his knowledge and experience to help deliver these in the building services sector. He has working knowledge of LZC technologies, mechanical control systems and associated plant and the design, installation and commissioning of energy centre combined heat and power systems.
Chris brings with him a strong background of delivering complex programmes of work in highly regulated industries with multiple stakeholders and has recently delivered detailed design packages for private residential (listed) buildings, universities, and primary educational facilities.
Kwame Amo-Agyei
Kwame is a Principle Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years’ experience. He has extensive experience in the Engineering and Construction Industry including project design, project management, facilities management and in the management of work groups.
Having led residential, commercial, and industrial scale projects notably with new builds, the build and refurbishment of offices, schools, residence for immunosuppressed people, leisure, hospitals, railway and community centres from conception to Client handover and beyond. He possesses immense experience which has been gained through planning, organising, motivation and controlling resources including budgets to achieve all the desired goals of the project while honouring the preconceived constraints such as scope, time, quality and budget.
Kwame has experience in the development, implementation, coordination and monitoring of services for the effective running of commercial buildings, high occupancy offices, leisure centres and other multi-complex facilities and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations and best practice.
With excellent experience in management, Kwame is endowed with the skill of effective prioritisation and autonomy to organise his own workload and to support that of his team members to ensure services are delivered according to budget and targets set within the service level agreements. This high level of initiative and his innovative skill base has given him the dynamism needed for effective project delivery.
Eder Ferreira
Alejandro Gutierrez Canseco
Alejandro joined Light Perceptions as a Senior Lighting Engineer and now is a Principal Lighting Engineer with CBG Consultants when they acquired Light Perceptions in 2023.
He has completed a University of the Arts London short course on design for sustainability, to be able to integrate sustainability within the design process for projects. In addition, to further his professional development he has attended various seminars on topics such as ‘RIBA: unlocking the code of colour’ and ‘lighting and the circular economy’.
Due to Alejandro’s knowledge of CAD and development of freehand drawing skills, he mentors other colleagues within this area.
His roles and responsibilities on projects include managing the lighting design development process on significant historic and ecclesiastical buildings such as Tower of London, and Lincoln Cathedral.
