The scheme is located at the old South fire station, which is being redeveloped and extended to create 200+ private and affordable residential units and a new secondary school for 1200 pupils, including a sports centre.
The constraints of working with listed buildings, and densely packed site have created challenges for the environmental design, especially for daylight and ventilation. The team has worked hard to develop a servicing strategy which deals with these constraints, as well as meeting the tough requirements of the London Plan for energy and limiting overheating.
