Kingston School of Art Highly Commended by the New London Architecture Awards.
We are delighted to announce that the Kingston School of Art has been Highly Commended by the New London Architecture Awards in the Mayor’s Prize for Circular Design. This is awarded to projects that best demonstrate an innovative re-use of existing buildings and or re-use of construction materials, adopting circular economy principles while securing high quality design.
Working with Haworth Tompkins Architects, the project involved a major upgrade and extension to provide over 10000sqm of refurbished creative space. The project achieved BREEAM Outstanding and delivered a 52% reduction in operational carbon emissions. Read more about the project here.
