Fordham Abbey Dojima Sake Brewery wins GAGA Construction Award 2020

We are delighted to announce that Fordham Abbey Dojima Sake Brewery has won a GAGA Construction Award.

Founded 600 years ago by the Hashimoto family in Osaka,  the Dojima Sake Brewery has been brought to the UK within the historic grounds of Fordham Abbey in Ely Cambridge.

Working with Kay Pilsbury Thomas Architects in collaboration with Studio Cullinan and Buck Architects, Andrew Firebrace Partnership and PB Doyle. The building design is of a galvanized steel barn structure meeting the specific climatic conditions required for the traditional Sake brewing process, the building also houses a café and open visiting area for viewing, educating and cross – cultural exchange.
