CBG experts present at IES BIM Faculty Seminar

The use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software in the Building Services Industry has seen a significant increase over the past few years.

Endorsed by the Government for publically funded projects, it’s fair to state that its use has been recognized as an effectively beneficial aid to operate and maintain diverse physical infrastructures.

Zahid Ashraf (Principal Sustainability & Energy Engineer) and Ross Thompson (Senior Sustainability & Energy Engineer) were invited by IES to present their techniques of achieving a successful integration of design programmes which continuously helps us achieve space efficient and Sustainable M&E strategies for our clients.

At CBG, we have realized that the generation and management of digital representations of the physical as well as the functional characteristics of buildings adds momentous value to the projects we deliver. CBG Consultants have three defined divisions, M&E Engineering, Sustainability & Building Physics as well as BIM. We are committed to using Autodesk REVIT and Navisworks Manage as our own preferred draughting and co-ordination tool, as part of the BIM process. We have been working closely with Autocad and Google Sketch up to produce AutodCad Revit integrated into IES modelling to provide fast modelled and innovative solutions. This process of collaboration between our departments and the use of IES has led to the successful delivery of countless projects.
