We are thrilled to announce that team CBG Consultants took part in this year’s Little Oxford Sailing Challenge. Now in its second year, it was an unforgettable day on the Water.
This exciting event is growing rapidly in popularity, and last week saw eight teams and yachts come together for an unforgettable day of sailing, networking, and friendly competition. The combination of teamwork, skill, and camaraderie made for a truly memorable experience, as guests set sail across the Solent towards the picturesque Isle of Wight.
The day kicked off with a smooth sail from Southampton, where for many, this was a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on sailing, guiding the yacht across the water while enjoying the stunning views of the Solent. It was a true test of collaboration and communication, essential qualities both on and off the water, especially in our professional worlds.
Once we arrived at the Isle of Wight, the teams docked in Cowes, a town well-known for its sailing heritage. Guests enjoyed lunch, where there was time to relax, unwind, and get to know fellow participants. After lunch, the energy levels soared as the much-anticipated afternoon race began. The weather improved just in time, giving us perfect conditions for a thrilling race in which we’re proud to report we secured a second-place finish. Congratulations to this year’s winners, Oxford landscapers Nicholsons, who claimed the top spot.
The Little Oxford Challenge is more than just a sailing event – it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in the construction industry and beyond. Held annually, it provides a relaxed environment to share ideas and inspiration.
