Our project expertise is varied and can range from single plant room developments to entire secondary schools and hospital wings.
CBG's expertise spans Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (M&E), Lighting Design, Sustainable Building Design, and Building Physics, with particular specialism as Passivhaus Consultants. We have successfully delivered a number of fully coordinated projects to BIM Level 2, with information provided in the COBie (Construction Operations Building Information Exchange) data format. BIM adds value by creating, managing, and sharing the properties of a building throughout its life cycle, enabling all members of the design team to work efficiently and effectively during all stages of the project.
As part of this, CBG complies with the relevant codes of practice such as BS EN ISO 19650:2018, PAS1192-3:2014, PAS1192-4:2014, PAS1192-5:2015, BS 1192 2007, the CIC BIM Protocol, and the BIM Forum LOD Specification. CBG has provided training and guidance to its engineers to use Revit as part of the design process, allowing both mechanical and electrical designs to be fully coordinated as the project progresses. This ensures any potential issues or clashes can be identified and eliminated before causing delays, integrating the engineers' experience and intuition into the BIM process seamlessly.
“I wanted to reach out and say a big thank you for all the hard work your team have put into the project. We’ve been reviewing your BIM model and are impressed by the quality of it.” – Local Architect
