CBG Consultants have completed the feasibility stage for an ambitious extension and refurbishment of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge.

The project includes the creation of a new basement climate controlled storage facility, conversion of former stores into public galleries, and improved access and visitor facilities.

The existing galleries will also be reconfigured to better control the use of natural light within the space, to assist with the preservation of light sensitive artifacts and reduce summertime solar gain. The project is currently awaiting the outcome of a Heritage Lottery bid to progress the design and construction works.
